Beliefs

What a church believes is vitally important to those who are affected by its ministry. At Grace we seek to promote worship that is biblically based, not solely emotionally driven. The Bible teaches that what honors God is worship that engages the believer with service itself. A heart that is far away from engagement with biblical truth is worship that is empty of purposeful worship to God. We desire to preach and teach the whole counsel of God. We observe and administer believer’s baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We seek to preach and train believers to give of their time, their talents, and their treasures to the Lord and His work. We are engaged in carrying on a world-wide missionary program that is focused on planting local churches. We endeavor to establish other independent, fundamental Bible-believing churches. We endeavor to uphold each other to practicing godliness and good works in the community while exercising Biblical discipline.
In short, we believe that the Bible is God’s preserved, infallible, inspired Word of God. We do not take some of the positions of the day that wage “warfare” over particular translations. We hold to a literal word for word translation as the best type of translation. While we use the King James Version to preach and teach, we do not hold to the extreme positions that are being upheld in a articleisive manner today. We believe that God is eternal, unchangeable; in His being, wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness and truth. We believe in the Triune Godhead (Father, Son – Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit). We believe the Genesis account of Creation as a literal, historic one. There was absolutely no evolution involved. God created the heavens and the earth in six literal 24 hour days; we believe that man was created in the image of God without sin; however, gave in to the temptation of the devil and disobeyed God, and because of Adam’s sin all of us have been created in sin (Romans 5:12); we believe that sinful man can be delivered from the bondage of sin through the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross and rose again from the grave, whereby man is offered forgiveness of sin, made right with God and given the righteousness of Jesus Christ in order to escape an eternal hell and given an eternal heaven. We believe that the next event on God’s calendar of events is the literal return of Jesus Christ in the clouds to beckon those who have been saved since His ascension after His bodily resurrection, both dead and living. This will be followed by seven years of tribulation upon the earth, after which Christ will return to the earth to reign as King for one thousand years from Jerusalem. More Info
